“While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.”

  ― Dorothea Lange

At 18, I moved to California to study film and digital photography at Berkeley City College and Laney College in the San Francisco Bay Area. During this time, I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work for numerous professional photographers, and gained essential experience and skills in the photography industry.

When photographing people, I look to capture only the most authentic and natural moments as they unfold. I want my pictures to be about more than just the subject. I look for those unguarded moments, when you can see beyond the exterior of the photograph. It is my aim to preserve those moments in the form of photographs.

We all experience moments in our lives we wish we could hold on to. Sometimes, we want to be able to capture those moments; to be able to keep them close to our hearts. These are my favourite images to shoot. Those that tell a story.

In the words of Aaron Siskind, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever ... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything else.”

Highly esteemed photographers I have worked for include Ananda Shorey, Christina Calathas, Jesse Leake, Jamie Grenough and Surya Chateaut.
